Pressure-Type Manholes are sealed access devices specifically designed for pressure vessels, allowing personnel to safely enter and exit under pressure for inspection or maintenance. Sanitary grade products are made of 304/316L stainless steel, with an inner surface polished to Ra≤0.8µm, equipped with FDA-grade seals, and can operate at pressures up to 5.0 bar. They are widely used in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Tank truck models are equipped with a quick-locking mechanism and a breather valve, and feature two-stage opening safety protection to prevent hazards caused by residual pressure. Operating pressures cover 12–30 psi.
This Pressure-Type Manhole is designed for installation on pressure vessels in hygienic industries such as food, brewing, beverage, and pharmaceutical processing. It features an outward-opening lid for safety and ease of access, with optional plastic or stainless steel handwheels. The unit includes a flange-mounted sight glass or a welded-type viewing window, ensuring clear inspection capability. Internal surfaces are finished to Ra 0.8 µm–0.5 µm, while external surfaces are available in polished, matte, or sandblasted finishes. Designed for working pressures up to 5.0 bar, it is sealed with FDA-compliant gaskets (EPDM, NBR, Silicone, or FPM) in accordance with 21 CFR 177.2600. The manhole comes in standard heights of 100mm, 120mm, or 150mm and can be customized to other dimensions, including wall thicknesses (e.g., 4mm or as required). Constructed from AISI 304 (1.4301) or AISI 316L (1.4404), the number of handwheels can also be tailored to meet specific customer needs. This manhole offers excellent hygiene, durability, and configurability, making it ideal for pressure-rated sanitary applications.
