Oval Manhole Cover – Hygienic Access for Processing Tanks

This oval manhole cover is widely used in hygienic applications across the food, brewing, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries, offering secure and sanitary access to tank interiors. Designed with an inward-opening lid, it ensures both operational safety and ease of maintenance. The manhole is equipped with either a wrench-type or handwheel-type handle, allowing flexibility based on usage preferences. The inner surface is polished to a sanitary finish of Ra 0.8µm–0.5µm, while the outer surface can be finished with a mirror polish, matte polish, or sandblasting to suit various application needs. Built to withstand pressures up to 3.0 bar, it is sealed using high-quality gaskets made of EPDM, NBR, silicone, or FPM—all compliant with FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 standards. Standard height options include 75mm, 100mm, 120mm, and 150mm. The manhole is manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel AISI 304 (1.4301) or AISI 316L (1.4404), ensuring long service life and compatibility with CIP/SIP cleaning processes. This makes it an ideal solution for sanitary tank access in demanding production environments.
